“托举哥”的名字叫周冲，今年23岁。6月3日，广州一名独自在家的女孩琪琪不小心从四楼摔下来，刚好有一个铁架卡住了琪琪的头部。她的身体悬空，命悬一线。就在这危急的时刻，“托举哥”不顾个人安危，从外墙爬上阳台的防盗网，踮起脚尖用单手托住琪琪长达十几分钟，等待救援。
在交警，路人，邻居等众多好心人的鼎力相助下，营救终于成功了！就在这时，人们发现高空托举的英雄已经悄然而去了。
当人们终于找到周冲时，他却淡然地说：“我不是一个人在救人，是大家合力救下了琪琪！”周冲的这一举动无不体现了“厚于德，诚于信，敏于行”的新时期广东精神。

i think lots of students like the pop singer named jay. i also like him very much.
when he released his first album, i started to buy his album. and i never miss any album of his.
do you know as a boy, jay was called dull stupid.
but his mother yeh huimei, noticed that the quiet, shy boy seemed to dance practically when he heard the western pop music she used to play.
his mother sent him to a piano school when he was four. when he has grown up, he had developed an ability for instant playing beyond his years.
i learned to play the piano from 7 years old to 13 years old. i often feel bored when i practise playing the piano.
but jay was always crazy about playing the piano. i think he really likes music.
so i admire him very much, and i call him “hero”.

我心目中的奥运英雄是一位波兰的乒乓球选手，她的名字叫帕尔迪卡·娜塔莉亚。
那一天，我正坐在电视前聚精会神地看乒乓球比赛，忽然，一个刚出场的波兰女运动员吸引了我的目光：因为她是一个残疾人，她天生没有右手掌，右臂肘以下部分都没有。我奇怪极了，心想，残奥会还没到呢，怎么会有残疾人参赛呢？
通过解说员的解说，我才知道：帕尔迪卡·娜塔莉亚是代表波兰队参加女子团体乒乓球比赛的。
比赛开始了，只见她用左手先抛起乒乓球，再迅速抓起球拍，把乒乓球打了出去。尽管她只有一只手臂，可她的动作却无比娴熟，熟练得让我甚至都忽略了她身体的缺陷。
全场鸦雀无声，每一个人都聚精会神地看着比赛。

the other day the tv reported that a retired school math teacher, beth smith, has been volunteering for the past 20 years at a united nation’s refugee camp in thailand, helping kids who cannot afford to go to school learn math and english. i was deeply touched when watching the story, especially when the reporter asked beth why she would spent all her time in a third world country volunteering, she replied, “by helping these kids, i feel i’m doing good for the society, therefore i feel happy.” her answer made me think about the virtue of helping others, and i realize that she is a true hero in my heart.

我从来没想到自己能在2分钟内攀上9米高的网。
周六的早晨，我们来自石家庄各个学校的“校园小作家”们在老师的带领下，来到了农耕时代园。
走进大门，首先印入眼帘的是一座高9米的高空攀网，我们要在这里进行一场比赛。每三人为一组，进行攀网，最先到达顶峰的获胜！
我抬头望着又高又陡的攀网，心里打起了退堂鼓：“万一踩空了摔下来可不是小事呀！”这时队员们都已经积极踊跃的站成三队，跃跃欲试了，我还在最后面不敢参加。这时妈妈发现了我这个“胆小鬼”，上来鼓励我：“这次集体活动，你可是代表红星小学的学生，要勇敢地挑战自我，为学校争光！”老师也发现了留在最后面的我，上来亲切的跟我交谈：“快来呀，老师跟你一起爬！”看到其他的学生们都争先恐后的报名：“我先来！我先来！”有的是低年级的学弟学妹们，加上老师跟妈妈的鼓励，我身上顿时有了力量，我和一个学妹一组开始了比赛。
刚踩在绳子结的网上，颤颤巍巍，摇摇晃晃的，像是踩在弹簧上一样重心不稳，我抬头看了看同组的学妹，只见她手抓紧上面的网，动作灵活的向上爬着，已经远远地超过了我。“如果网当成一架软梯子，用手抓紧上面的绳子，保持好重心，是不是就不怕左右摇晃了！”我开始依照这个规律爬，耳边响起了妈妈和同学们的助威呐喊声：“加油，加油，你们都是超级英雄！”
听到了加油的声音我向上爬的更稳更快了！
越往上坡度越陡，几乎都成90度的了！我往下一望，被绳网笼罩的是一片碧绿的草坪，草坪上面还平铺着一张保护网，以防我们踩空掉下去，解除了我的后顾之忧，加上之前的攀网技巧，我保持好重心，向着终点，前面同学敲响的那面“锣”的地方冲刺。
“噹”，锣声敲响，我攀到了顶点，战胜了心理恐惧，成了自己的“超级英雄”。
